Abstract
► Of the 76 dwellings surveyed, 12 had triatomine infestation in the peridomiciles. ► Results displayed that 44.41% of the bugs were Triatoma cruzi positive. ► Woodpiles presented high rates of triatomine infestation and T. cruzi infection. ► Of the total triatomines captured in the locality, 74.66% were found in woodpiles. ► Geospatial analysis showed woodpiles represent the greatest risk for Chagas disease.
