Abstract
► Increased pathogenicity in mice is associated to higher transmissibility to tsetse. ► At equal pathogenicity, domestic trypanosomes are better transmitted than wild ones. ► Transmissibility of dominant sylvatic and domestic trypanosomes is equivalent. ► Relation between trypanosome dose and transmission to tsetse has a constant profile.
