Abstract
⺠Mosquitoes near Guarani indigenous village, revealed the presence of plasmodium sp. ⺠An. cruzii was the predominant species and found infected by P. malariae. ⺠The intermediate species were An. pseudomaculipes/maculipes and An. fluminensis. ⺠An. pseudomaculipes/maculipes were found infected by P. vivax and P. malariae. ⺠The minimum natural infection rate for An. cruzii as determined by PCR was 0.24%.
