Immunization with excreted/secreted proteins in AS/n mice activating cellular and humoral response against Toxoplasma gondii infection

► We studied T. gondii excretory-secretory antigens (ESAs) and host immune response. ► Cellular and humoral responses of ESA-immunized AS/n mice were investigated. ► ESA elicit high IgG1,IFN-γ,TNF-α levels and lower amount of IgM,IgG2,IL-10,IL-4. ► Mice infected with opsonized parasites had low parasitemia, and mortality.
