Abstract
⺠Last cystic echinococcosis control attempt in Sardinia dates to 1980s. ⺠Profound structural changes since then have modified the transmission scenario. ⺠Current status and trend of prevalence in sheep is examined for two survey periods. ⺠CE burden has diminished but spread persists particularly in less favoured areas. ⺠CE persists despite improvements, exposing to possible reversal of decreasing trend.
