Abstract
⺠Anti-T. canis IgG seroprevalence in dogs from an urban area of Brazil was of 82.7%. ⺠301 sera were tested by ELISA with excretory-secretory antigens of T. canis larvae. ⺠The serology aided to define risk factors for the acquisition of toxocariasis by dogs. ⺠The most found risk factors suggest a lack of veterinary care due to poverty.
