Abstract
⺠The pediatric population presented microfilaremia prevalence of 1.1%, thus indicating intense transmission. ⺠We observed that the most recent cases of infection had occurred among children aged six years. ⺠The study demonstrated that epidemiological surveillance for microfilaremia among children and its spatial analysis are important indicators of local transmission and are useful tools for strategic actions within GPELF.
