Abstract
⺠This review provides information regarding the safety of treatment of 4359 patients. ⺠Different therapeutic regimens with antimonials or pentamidine were employed. ⺠The profile of adverse effects were established. ⺠Mild adverse effects clinical, laboratory and ECG were frequent. ⺠We recommend monitoring of adverse effects at least 10 days during the treatment.
