Abstract
⺠Two indirect IgG-ELISAs using MPB70 or MPB83 as capture antigen were used for diagnosing tuberculosis in a naturally infected herd. ⺠Samples were collected in three different times in order to investigate the usage of ELISA as a confirmatory test. ⺠Both presented similar results (kappa statistic = 0.92) among the three times of the study. ⺠ELISAs were proved to be a valuable complementary tool to intradermal testing. ⺠However, ELISAs were not considered as reliable indicators of the early phases of this infection.
