Abstract
⺠A new assay to identify Plasmodium species in Anopheles. ⺠We examine sequences of the Plasmodium CS gene. ⺠A close agreement between the CS-PCR and the gold standard nested PCR. ⺠The PCR-RFLP developed is an integral component of malaria control programs.
