Abstract
▶ Vibrio cholerae O1 isolates from a cholera outbreak in Solapur were characterized. ▶ The isolates belonged to El Tor biotype with ctxB gene of classical biotype. ▶ All the isolates were multi-drug resistant and harboured class 1 integron and SXT elements. ▶ Fingerprinting analysis revealed clonality among the isolates.
