Abstract
► Bio-efficacy of chlorfenapyr was assessed against Culex quinquefasciatus Say. ► 5.0% chlorfenapyr was considered as diagnostic dose for adult susceptibility tests. ► Chlorfenapyr spray with 400 mg a.i./m2 showed at least 15 weeks residual efficacy. ► Field-collected resistant mosquitoes showed no cross resistance to chlorfenapyr. ► Resistant mosquitoes pre-exposed to PBO showed antagonism to chlorfenapyr toxicity. ► Chlorfenapyr can be used for control of insecticide resistant Cx. quinquefasciatus.
