Abstract
ⶠWe examined the current malaria situations and its challenges in Bhutan. ⶠMalaria cases decreased from 12,591 cases in 1999 to 329 in 2008. ⶠLLINs and ACT (artemether/lumefantrine) were the main strategies employed. ⶠShortages of human resources and cross border issues are the main challenges for the malaria elimination in Bhutan.
