Abstract
- A microsphere array assay was developed specific for JEV serocomplex viruses.
- The assay detected viral RNA equally sensitive to reference PCR assays.
- The assay differentiated closely related viruses WNV, Kunjin, MVEV and JEV.
- The assay identified mixed virus populations of exotic WNV and endemic Kunjin.
- The multiplex assay format is suitable for diagnostics and surveillance programs.
