Abstract
⺠A real-time PCR test for oncogenic human papillomavirus is has been developed. ⺠The test targets 13 papillomavirus types associated with cervical cancer. ⺠The test uses consensus primers and 3-4 multiplexed probes. ⺠Detection, typing and quantitation occur simultaneously in a closed system format. ⺠The test has 98% sensitivity and 83% specificity relative to the HC2 test.
