Abstract
⺠Mutated 3ABC (mu3ABC) protein of FMDV was constructed and produced in insect cells. ⺠mu3ABC protein containing inactive 3Cpro is intact plus easily purified and measured. ⺠mu3ABC ELISA was developed to differentiate infected from vaccinated animals. ⺠It has a simple design, reproducible results and high specificity and sensitivity. ⺠This allows the in house development of a reliable 3ABC ELISA for FMD control.
