Abstract
⺠MNV binds to porcine gastric mucin, similar to human noroviruses. ⺠Inactivation of heat-treated MNV correlated with a loss of attachment to porcine gastric mucin. ⺠High pressure, ozone and UV inactivated MNV resulted in no loss of attachment. ⺠Destruction of the viral capsid is necessary to observe viral attachment changes.
