Abstract
⺠A method for enteroviral RNA elution from FTA elute cards was optimized. ⺠A proper buffer increased yields of enteroviral RNA. ⺠The buffer pH affected the yields of enteroviral RNA elution with higher yields in alkaline conditions. ⺠Because of the low recovery rate, detection should be combined with very sensitive methods. ⺠The method is applicable to enteroviruses and other RNA viruses.
