Abstract
⺠Different strategies to normalize intracellular Vaccinia virus DNA were evaluated. ⺠PCR standards allow accurate normalization regardless of the cell number. ⺠DNA input assessed spectrophotometrically does not provide accurate normalization. ⺠Multi-copy standards display a lower limit of quantitation than a single copy standard.
