Abstract
⺠Persistent infections with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) are associated universally with cervical cancer. ⺠HPV 16 and 18 have a higher relevance of with respect to the other high risk HPV types. ⺠The Cobas 4800 HPV test differentiates between HPV16 and/or 18 from the other high risk genotypes. ⺠This method is attractive for detecting HR-HPV in cervical samples.
