Abstract
► Persistent infections with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) are associated universally with cervical cancer. ► HPV 16 and 18 have a higher relevance of with respect to the other high risk HPV types. ► The Cobas 4800 HPV test differentiates between HPV16 and/or 18 from the other high risk genotypes. ► This method is attractive for detecting HR-HPV in cervical samples.
