Abstract
⺠A MAb against 3D polymerase of human enterovirus A was isolated and characterized. ⺠The epitope DFEQALFS corresponds to amino acids 1784-1791 of the EV71 polyprotein. ⺠3CD and 3D proteins are present EV71 and CAV16 virus particles. ⺠Universal detection of HEV-A was shown by immunofluorescence and Western blot. ⺠A dot blot assay for the detection of EV71 was developed using the MAb.
