Abstract
⺠We test the performance of a chip-based air sampler. ⺠The air sampler allows sensitive sampling and detection of FMDV in breath of infected cattle. ⺠The sensitivity of the air sampler can be improved. ⺠The in-cip integration of sampling and detection adds new perspectives in identification of contagious animals.
