Abstract
⺠The M2 protein of the influenza A virus is a candidate for a novel vaccine. ⺠The expression of the cloned M2 gene in three eukaryotic cell lines is described. ⺠Expression efficiency was demonstrated by IF staining, ELISA and Western blot. ⺠The scale of expression is important for evaluating its potential in vaccine studies. ⺠Differences of M2 expression levels were observed depending on the cell line.
