Abstract
⺠Species of the monogenean genus Pseudorhabdosynochus are strictly specific. ⺠Pseudorhabdosynochus cyanopodus appeared to be an exception. ⺠Morphology and molecules (COI gene) showed that P. cyanopodus is found in two hosts. ⺠It is hypothesized that low specificity is an adaptation to deep-sea hosts.
