Abstract
⺠Kudoa leptacanthae n. sp. is described from Zoramia leptacantha and Z. viridiventer. ⺠The host specificity of K. leptacanthae n. sp. is restricted to the genus Zoramia. ⺠Although unique this species shows a close taxonomic affinity to K. shiomitsui. ⺠The new taxon formed a well supported clade with all other heart dwelling kudoids.
