Abstract
⺠Significantly high prevalence of HBV genotype D, subgenotype D2. ⺠Negative association in frequency of HBV/D2 with CD4 count.⺠Decreased genetic diversity and increased HBV/D2 viral replication in low CD4 count. ⺠In higher CD4 count more non-synonymous immune/therapy escape mutation in HBV/D2. ⺠In contrast, in HBV/A1 a reverse trend in genetic diversity with varying CD4 count.
