Abstract
⺠The genome of pandemic 2009 influenza viruses from La Gloria, Mexico, was sequenced. ⺠These viruses share a high sequence identity with early H1N1/2009 isolates. ⺠The genome of an early 2009 pandemic virus from a pig in Mexico was also sequenced. ⺠The swine influenza isolate represents a basal branch to the pandemic clade.
