Abstract
⺠First study on DNA electroporation (EP) in chronic hepadnaviral infection model. ⺠Importantly, DNA EP enhanced viral clearance form sera and livers of DHBV-carriers. ⺠DNA EP stimulated a multi-specific B-cell response recognizing neutralizing epitopes. ⺠DNA EP resulted in high expression of intrahepatic IFN-γ of DHBV-carriers. ⺠First evidence on benefit of DNA EP for chronic hepatitis B therapy.
