Abstract
⺠EV30 can infect and replicate in human choroid plexus papilloma cells (HIBCPP). ⺠CXCL1, CXCL2 and CXCL3 are significantly up-regulated in HIBCPP following enteroviral infection. ⺠CXCL12 leads to a significant T lymphocyte migration across HIBCPP, whereas enteroviral stimulation has only a minor effect. ⺠This is the first human in vitro model of the BCSFB that enables studies of viral infection and CNS inflammation.
