Abstract
⺠All 156 ORFs of CyHV-3 are transcribed into RNAs. ⺠These transcripts are classified into three co-ordinately expressed groups, IE, E and L, similar to all other herpesviruses. ⺠Transcription of CyHV-3 genes commences soon after infection - earlier than 1 h post-infection (p.i.). ⺠Several ORFs belonging to these classes are allocated in clusters along the viral genome.
