Abstract
⺠41 virus mastrevirus isolates found in naturalised and native Australian grasses. ⺠Identified four new species and two of these are highly divergent and are most closely related to the African streak viruses. ⺠Patterns of inter- and intra-species recombination and the recombination hotspots mirror those of all other mastreviruses. ⺠Australian monocot-infecting mastrevirus diversity rivals that in Africa.
