Abstract
⺠We isolated HRSV strains from nasopharyngeal aspirates collected from 965 children. ⺠We sequenced the SH gene of 117 strains from 424 positive samples. ⺠Phylogenetic analysis showed a low genetic variability among the isolates. ⺠SH gene sequences classify the viruses in different genotypes for both groups A and B. ⺠The BA-like was well segregated indicating that mutations are not limited to the G.
