Abstract
⺠Fretting experiments were performed from 20 °C to 550 °C in air and argon. ⺠Friction, wear, oxide composition, and fatigue damage was characterized. ⺠Transitions in mechanical properties, wear rate, and oxide composition occurred. ⺠The fatigue damage response is discussed in terms of mechanisms identified.
