Abstract
⺠Antagonism lubrication behaviours of both MoS2 and MoS2+Ti have been detailed. ⺠Benefit of low contamination level on fiction and wear has been identified. ⺠Tribological consequences of chemical segregation are highlighted. ⺠Dry N2 environment does not mimic ultrahigh vacuum.
