Abstract
⺠Experimental study of squeal when sphere slides across groove-textured surface. ⺠Finite element model of sphere on groove-textured surface was created. ⺠Complex eigenvalue solution to study squeal instability of sphere sliding on groove. ⺠Effect of sliding direction on squeal instability of sphere on groove was studied.
