Abstract
⺠A novel test apparatus has been developed. ⺠Testing done in water at loads and velocities anticipated to occur in-vivo. ⺠Wear rate increases when toughness decreases. ⺠Order of magnitude variability within test groups was observed. ⺠Ranking of implantable material wear rates are possible using this methodology.
