Abstract
⺠Specimens with different diameters tested against a glass disc. ⺠Specimens connected to steel shafts with and without a ceramic insert. ⺠Several rolling speeds and slide-to-roll ratios tested. ⺠Increase of friction is found when the ceramic insert is used. ⺠Ceramic insert does not affect significantly the friction curves shape and the film thickness.
