Abstract
⺠Tilting pad-journal gas bearing is studied in subsystems to prevent pad spragging. ⺠The pads and journal interacting mechanism were analyzed using local parameters. ⺠With larger eccentricity or smaller preload, some local attitude angles exceed 90°. ⺠In converging-diverging shape flow paths, fluid compressibility plays an active role.
