Abstract
⺠The presence of dimples resulted in decrease in the friction force comparing to honed cylinder liners. ⺠The beneficial oil pockets effect was mainly evident in conditions of full fluid lubrication. ⺠Reduction of the coefficient of friction was about twice for full lubrication regime. ⺠During test the pile-up of the textured specimens were removed, which was reflected by high decrease of the Spk parameter.
