Abstract
⺠First experimental comparison of single/twin axial groove journal bearings. ⺠Individualized measurement of flow rate through each groove. ⺠Total flow rate was the same, twin groove flow distribution dependent on load. ⺠Twin groove might be problematic for high eccentricity+low feeding pressure. ⺠Twin groove-higher power loss, outlet temperature; lower maximum bush temperature.
