Abstract
⺠A 3D elastic-plastic dynamic explicit FE model of cold rotary forging is developed. ⺠The contact pressure response in cold rotary forging is numerically calculated. ⺠The relationship between the contact pressure response and metal flow of the workpiece is clarified.
