Abstract
► The Reynolds equation considered for hydrodynamic lubrication of radial journal bearings. ► Hybrid numerical-analytical solution obtained through the Generalized Integral Transform Technique (GITT). ► Parametric analysis performed to investigate the influence of typical governing parameters. ► Extensive convergence behavior of numerical results produced to demonstrate ability of the solution methodology. ► Comparisons with results from literature demonstrated the consistency of final results for radial journal bearings problems.
