Abstract
⺠In partially lubricated conditions particles affect the lubricating properties of suspensions. ⺠Friction is dependent upon evaporation of aqueous suspension and accumulation of particles. ⺠By varying the particle size and concentration the time dependent behaviour can be controlled. ⺠Dry particles reduce friction due to a loss of interfacial adhesion between the PDMS surfaces.
