Abstract
⺠Newly designed proportional 4/3 directional control sliding type of valve for water hydraulic is presented. ⺠10 million cycles test in distilled water was performed with acceptable performance. ⺠Internal leakage, wear and dynamic response were comparable to oil systems. ⺠Water filtration was found to be a critical performance parameter.
