Abstract
⺠Analytical result showed that airflow became unsteady at bearing outlet. ⺠Experimental transition point where the airflow became turbulent depended on Reynolds number. ⺠Amount of nano-fluctuation of the object increased in proportion to Reynolds number at the bearing outlet. ⺠Considering the Reynolds number is important for the design of aerostatic bearing.
