Abstract
⺠Thermomechanical contact analysis of HDI has been performed. ⺠Contact pressure and deformation have been determined from the improved model. ⺠Frictional heat generation during HDI contact has been determined. ⺠Critical wear of carbon film is attributed to the temperature rise by friction.
