Abstract
⺠Friction performance of the baseline package ATFs was reported. ⺠Amide friction modifier was found to be very good for anti-shudder performance. ⺠Detailed tribochemistry study was carried out based on surface analysis results. ⺠Some surface functional groups (-OH, -CNO) were proposed to be beneficial to ATF. ⺠Friction modifier was linked with some surface functional group adsorptions.
