Abstract
⺠New friction test based on an optimal forward extrusion die design. ⺠This test permits to investigate the tribology of materials undergoing large plastic deformations. ⺠A novel methodology is proposed to identify the friction laws using an inverse analysis method. ⺠It is based on the optimal prediction of the experimental load-stroke curve using FEMs. ⺠Rheological and tribological properties of an AA5083 during a dry extrusion are presented.
