Abstract
► Plasma treatment to carbon fabric proved beneficial for improvement in fiber-matrix adhesion. ► Brittle failure by the propagation of lateral cracks observed for amorphous polymer. ► Mechanical properties are correlated with wear performance. A fairly good correlation was observed between the product of K0×ILSS with increasing strain (μp/E).
