Abstract
⺠Oxygen on the EPDM surface is related with additives and not with backbone of the polymer. ⺠Zinc segregates on the friction surface depends on the carbon black content. ⺠Intrinsic water contact angle increases on the friction zone. ⺠No degradation and oxidation of the backbone structure were observed under these test conditions.
